My favorite chracter in Number The stars is Annemarie. I like Annemarie because she is brave and a good person. She's brave because even with all the trouble with the Germans she still helps her family and Ellen, and I thought she was really brave when she talked to the German soldiers and when they came into her house.Annemarie is helping her friend and family, that's why she's my favorite character.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book is when Peter helps the Jewish people get to Sweden to be free.I like this part because it helps Jewish people be free so they can't be caputured by the German soldiers. They'll be safe in Sweden and they won't have to worry about getting caught that's why it's my favorite part of Number The Stars.
My favorite charater in Number The Stars is Annemarie Johabsen because she was brave.And the reason i say that is because when the German Soldires came into her room she stood up for Ellen.Because when they wee coming Annemarie rememberd that ellen was wearing the star of David around her neck.And German soldiers can know if that person is jewish because they were the star of david around thier neck.

But when Annemarielooked at her hand the star of david was printed on her hand.Like a mark on her hand.
My favorite character in Number The Stars is Annmarie. I like Annmarie because she is kind and brave. She is brave because she stands up for Ellen and I thought she was really brave when the Germans asked Annmarie and Ellen where their going. That's why she is my favorite character.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in the story was when the Germans came to uncle Henricks house to see why are there lots of people in their house.I like the part because Annmaries mom stood up for the Jewish people and talked to the Germans. That's my favorite part in Number The Stars.
My favorite character in Number The Stars is Ellen because she was strong and let Peter take her parents somewhere when she stayed at Annmarie's house. She is also my favorite character because she pretended that she was Lisa and because she did that the the German Soldiers did not capture her being Jewish. She stayed at uncle Henrick's house with Annemarie, Kristi, and Mrs.Johansen without any of her belongings. She even had to be separated from her best friend, Annemarie. That is why I think Ellen was brave and strong to face all of the challenges she has either overcame or not.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in this story was when Ellen pretended to be Lisa and how Mr. Johansen quickly thought about the pictures and teared them out and handed them to the German Soldier. It was a good thing Lisa had dark hair like Ellen when she was little!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part in the story is when the soldiers kicked down the door and came in the house and searched and when Annmarie pulled the star of David off Ellen's neck. And when Annmarie hid it behind her back so the soldier didn't see it.
My favorite character in Number the Stars is Annmarie because she is very brave.She is very brave because in the book when she was stopped by the German soldiers and she acted like some dumb ordinary girl who giving lunch to her uncle.She acted very well because the soldiers did not suspect a thing!Also the soldiers did not even touch the thing in the bottom all they did was take her bread and feed it to their dogs.Another time she was brave was when The German soldiers stopped her Ellen and Kristi on their way back from school and asked for their names but she gave them the names and they did not suspect a thing!Another time she was brave was when she had to pretend to be Ellen's sister when the German Soldiers came in to her room and tried to open her hand but couldn't.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the book was when Ellen, Annmarie,Kristi,and Mrs. Johansen were going to Henrick's house and got stopped on the train when the soldiers asked them where they were going and when Kristi started talking everyone thought Kristi would blurt out everything and spoil the secret they were keeping instead she started talking about her new shoes and how she was going to show them to her uncle.
My favorite character in Number The Stars was Annemarie because she risked her own life to save Ellen's. Her family helped the Rosan's to go to Sweden and freedom.

I liked Peter because he is brave. He's brave becuase he is in the army.I liked the part when he helped the jews.I feel bad for the Johansens because Peters died.I feel bad for Peter becuase he didnt get burried next to Lisa.I also feel bad for peter because he didnt marry Lisa.

ReplyDeletePeter is my favorite character because he is brave and helpful. He helped the Rosens get to safety in Sweden. He is also in the resistance army against Hitler so he was brave. And Peter protected Jewish people from the German soldiers.

Ellen Rosen from dieing and from the german soldier . i think she is the braveies kids in the book to help her frined. Ellen is brave to because when her mom and dad had to go away she did not go athore them and did not cry.

My favorite charactor is Peter.he helpd out alot he is almost the only reason why the rosens got to the boat unharmed.And if Peter didn't join that prograhm to help the Jues this allmost would have never happen.And he protected the rosens.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Peter Neilsen. I like this character because he saves people. In the book, he traveled to a foreign land to save jews. My favorite part of the book is the end because the war ended.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite character is Annmerie beacause she is brave. When she carried the packet to her dad the gaurds caught her . When the gaurds searched through her basket she was nervous but she did not show it and she kept her calm.
The gaurds looked through the basket because the packet had a hankerchif which had a chemical that dose not let dogs smell . They needed that because the dogs would check the boats for the people . They were hiding the people because the nazis where looking for people who were trying to escape.
